Theresa F. Eichenwald, M.D. grew up in New York City and received her medical training at Medical College of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She completed her residency at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York and began practice in 1991. She moved to Dallas in 2001 and was a staff physician with the Baylor Senior Health Center in Garland until 2004.
"I enjoy what I do," says Dr. Eichenwald. "Aside from the standard care that most physicians provide, I enjoy learning about my patients and finding out what is happening in their lives. A patient's health and well being does not exist in a vacuum. Everything impacts one's health-living circumstances, family relationships, etc. There is no point treating blood pressure or diabetes if the person can't get the groceries or the medication they need."
Away from the practice, Dr. Eichenwald's enjoys time with her family, attending her children's soccer games, helping with homework and numerous Boy Scout activities. She enjoys reading, going to movies and playing with her dog. Dr. Eichenwald is fluent in English, French, Spanish and Polish.
