Shaun Murphy, M.D. grew up in Richardson, Texas and went to Jesuit High School where he was salutatorian of his graduating class. He received his medical training at The University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio and completed his residency at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas. He began practice in the area in 1999 and was the Chief of Medicine at Baylor Medical Center at Garland from 2003-2004.
"Patients know what is best for them. My duty as a physician is to listen to my patients and together we develop a plan for them to achieve their best possible health. I will provide the highest quality of care and I will do so in an honest, compassionate and respectful manner," said Dr. Murphy.
Dr. Murphy has special interest in diabetes, osteoporosis, hypertension, weight management, and medical management of patients after bariatric (obesity) surgery.
When away from the practice, Dr. Murphy enjoys golf, fishing, computer games, and is an aquarium enthusiast.
