Tao A. Ho, MD was born in Vietnam and has been living in Texas since 1975. Armed with an undergraduate degree from The University of Texas at Austin, he attended The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio where he also stayed for his residency. After serving as Chief Resident in 1997 - 1998, his then girlfriend, now wife drew him to Dallas.
Dr. Ho sees the practice of medicine as a collaboration between himself and his patients. “Influenced by their life experiences, health, and exposure to our complicated health care system, each patient is unique. My job is to communicate with each individual person and together, develop a plan to achieve their best medical health possible. I feel strongly about disease prevention and see education as vital to this goal. Ultimately, I want my patients to view me as someone who takes their health issues as seriously as I would my own.”
Away from medicine, Dr. Ho enjoys reading, following University of Texas Longhorn sports, and spending time with his family. His wife, Vi, is a dentist in Plano and they currently have a son, Thaden, with two more children planned in the next few years.
